Sonnet for Blake from Tara
"I'll be right back ," you said, and as I lay
In light and shadow as I ever do
The brown within the green, the gray in blue,
I felt the press of light of dying day,
And all the weight of things that cannot stay-
That do no stay.  While I know Time can strew
The sand with shells, that Mallorns grew
From seeds of human yearning to allay
The fear of endings,  I see too clear
Those fair folk fade into the West, and long
To hold the ships of innocents forgot
And cleave them to my self.  Though you're here,
Did return, I have just learned, I am not strong
Enough to meet the day when you cannot.
